Blaine Baby Blanket Pattern by Emma Sadler Designs
I wanted to make a blanket that was delicate enough to wrap a baby in as soon as they are born. Something that would look beautiful to bring the baby home in or to wrap them in whilst they sleep in the pram or cot.
This blanket has a delicate ‘dot’ stitch which gives the effect of lace without having lots of holes that tiny fingers and toes can get stuck in.
It is one size and takes approx 200g of 4ply baby yarn.

As always, when I’m knitting for the knitworthy members of my family or dear friends, I consider how they’re going to wear it, wash it, the colours they love and what styles they wear.
“Love the pattern, it’s much easier than it looks. “
