Did You Grab the Vera Discount?
As you will know from my last post, Vibrant Vera is Live, I launched my latest knitting pattern last week with a special introductory discount. It is available on Ravelry, Payhip, LoveCrafts and here on my own website. Did you check it out yet?
The Discount Finishes Soon…
I launched Vera with a 10% discount here on my website as well as on Ravelry and Payhip, but that runs out tomorrow! If you have been thinking about grabbing your copy then now is the time to do it! Don’t get distracted. Don’t delay any further. In just a few short hours the pattern goes back to full price.
Just a Little Recap…
Vera is a lightweight jumper, perfect for the changing seasons. It has a slightly deeper than usual v-neck so it looks great with a vest top underneath just showing a little bit. It is knitted using 4 ply sock yarn. I used a gorgeous light grey as the main colour for the whole body, the top of the sleeves and all the ribbed sections.
Then I got creative with the sleeves. After having joined Sock Madness one year and having knitted pairs and pairs of socks I had found myself with a lot of different scraps. I didn’t want to use them to make a blanket. Or scrappy socks. I played around and used them in the body of Stanhope which was inspired by the TV series Vera that I was watching at the time. You can read more about that in my blog post Want an Exciting Idea to Use Up Your Sock Yarn Scraps?
But one jumper made with sock yarn wasn’t enough. I still had loads of scraps left over. I wanted to use them in a more inventive way. So I used them to make sleeves!
What I love the most about these sleeves is that no two versions of Vera will ever be the same. If you use up your scraps then no one will have the same colours or patterns as you. I divided mine into two and used the same on each arm. But one of my testers got really creative and used totally different scraps on each arm.
Every time I wear my Vera jumper I find myself looking at the sleeves and noticing something different. If you wanted to be even more inventive you could use scraps for the ribbed sections too. A scrappy yarn neck or cuffs. It would look great on the bottom of the body section too! So much interest to be made from mixing up the colours and patterns a little!
Looking Forward to the Future…
I am working really hard to get even more great designs out and I want you to be the first to know when I do. I offer a 50% discount code for all new subscribers to my email list. You can use this on any one of my patterns either on Ravelry or Payhip.
And even better, when I release a new pattern you will get an exclusive subscriber discount of 25% instead of the usual 10% introductory discount I offer in general. Sign up now and you will be all set for my next release.
Let’s Get Social…
Don’t forget how much I love it when you share your projects with me! You will find me on all social media as @allneedles. Tag me in your posts and use #verajumper if you are sharing a photo of your crazy sock arms with me.
I can’t wait to see what combinations you will come up with!!
